Stephen currently works as Broadband Officer for Mayo County Council and also manages the Performance Analysis team for the Mayo Senior squad. He played for the Mayo Senior Football team from 1999 through until 2006 and during that time he won FBD, Connacht and National League titles.
He played his club football with Belmullet, winning 2 Junior titles, a Connacht Junior title and 2 senior Comórtas Peil na Gaeltachta tournaments. He played out his GAA football career with Parke, Keelogues, Crimlin before hanging up his boots in 2011.
Stephen has also represented his county in soccer and hurling.
